Collograph & mixed media

Relief plates are built up with a variety of sealants and collaged fragments. These are then inked up and run through my homemade press to produce a rudimentary image. I then work into this extensively with oil paint, watercolour, inks etc. Each print is therefore a one-off.

Carborundum Prints

I work instinctively with quick, gestural strokes - brush and pallet knife - exploring the variety and immediacy of markmaking possible

Sometimes I combine with collography using multiple passes through the press.

Sometimes I develop the work further with mixed media.
